The Balaguer Typhon DS8 8-String, finished in Flame Slimeburst, is The Acacia Strain's Devin Shidaker's signature Balaguer model. Devin and Balaguer collabed on this guitar, to design the perfect guitar for melting faces on TAS's tours, and for bone-crushing tones in the studio. This extended range beast features a Mahogany body with Flame Maple veneer top, combined with a pair of Devin's signature coil-splitting Balaguer Cauterizer humbuckers. These pickups are custom spec'd to be perfect for modern metal, while versatile enough to be comfortable in any other style as well. Wax-potted and scatterwound, expect super focussed gut-punching lows, powerful mids and searing (but not out of control) highs.

A comfortable Roasted Maple neck with 16" radius Ebony fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets are perfect for endlessly comfortable playability, while premium features like a graphite nut, Balaguer locking tuners and a Hipshot IBBY bridge ensure solid tuning stability.
