Boss SY-200 Guitar Synthesizer
The Boss SY-200 Guitar Synthesizer offers an incredible library of analogue-inspired polyphonic tones in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure. This blue inspiration machine is like the acclaimed SY-1, all grown-up - improvements include an expanded sound set, more tone-shaping possibilities, and 128 memories for storing your sonic creations. Dual footswitches allow for deep real-time performance control, which can be expenaded even further with external footswitches like the FS-6, expression pedals like the EV-30, and MIDI-equipped pedals and devices like ES-5 and ES-8 loop switchers. These dual footswitches are customisable, allowing you to control synth on/off, memory scrolling, pitch bend, synth hold, and more, with press-and-hold functionality available.
The SY-200 provides a massive range of control options while taking up minimal space on your pedalboard. Two customizable footswitches offer multi-functional operation with press-and-hold functionality, allowing you to control . Expanded control is possible via external footswitches or an expression pedal, and MIDI I/O is also available to interface with other MIDI-equipped pedals and devices like the ES-8 and ES-5 loop switchers.
With hands-on controls and an informative display, the SY-200 makes it quick and easy to recall sounds and balance direct and synth levels. All preset synths (see list below) have been dialled in by the BOSS engineers/wizards for inspiring playability fresh out of the box. Three parameters are tweakable via dedicated knobs should you wish to delve deeper.
You can use the SY-200 with any guitar or bass—just plug in with a standard 1/4-inch cable and start creating. Thanks to custom DSP and the latest BOSS innovations, you’ll enjoy latency-free performance that’s a natural extension of your instrument, letting you play freely without altering your normal technique in any way.
