All Solid Honduran Mahogany Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
This Cole Clark FL2EC FL Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is constructed in Australia from sustainably sourced timbers. It features a solid AA grade Honduran Mahogany top, back & sides, Queensland Maple or Mahogany neck and Rosewood fretboard. These tonewoods produce a beautifully balanced, complex tone with plenty of projection. The physically larger dreadnought FL body produces a bigger sound with deep bass and more acoustic volume compared to smaller-body acoustics, perfect for the solo performer.
The onboard Cole Clark PG3 3-way pickup system produces a beautifully natural amplified tone, perfect for your next live performance, whilst the cutaway gives you extra access to the upper frets. The PG3 pickup system combines an undersaddle piezo pickup, face sensor, and microphone, which work together to give you an incredibly well-rounded, dynamic and responsive representation of your guitar's natural tone. The undersaddle uses 6 individual piezo elements, for dynamic responsiveness and bottom-end response; the face sensor focusses on the mid-range, removing the signature 'quack' of piezo-only systems; and the condenser mic is focussed towards the top end, smoothing out the signature 'ping' of piezo-only systems. The preamp allows you to tweak various aspects of your tone, such as the frequency range picked up by the face sensor, overall volume, and relative volume of the mic. This guitar comes impeccably set up ready to play and includes a Cole Clark hard case.
Cole Clark sources all of its timber from urban recovery (trees that have fallen or been removed for safety reasons), and sustainable plantations. The Cole Clark 2 series are beautifully constructed instruments, made with great attention to detail in Melbourne, Australia, from sustainably sourced tone woods. The Honduran Mahogany in this FL2EC is sustainably sourced from a plantation in Fiji. While Honduran Mahogany is listed as an Endangered species in its native environment, the timber sourced from Fiji is not considered Endangered and is grown sustainably. The Queensland Maple for the neck is sourced from Djirbalngan, Mbabaram and Yidinjdji Countries (Far North Queensland). The Rosewood for the fingerboard is Indian Rosewood and is sustainably sourced.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Cole Clark CCFL2EC-MMAHR Solid Honduran Mahogany Dreadnought Acoustic w/ Pickup is perfect for anyone looking for a visually stunning acoustic, with a standard dreadnought sized body, and a pickup, which features premium quality, sustainable tonewoods.
