The Cole Clark TL2EC TL True Hybrid Grand Auditorium HSS All Blackwood is a revolutionary guitar that seamlessly blends acoustic and electric capabilities, without compromising on tone or performance. At the heart of the TL2EC is the innovative True Hybrid technology, which is a result of years of research and development by the Cole Clark team. This technology uses dual outputs and combines the world-leading Cole Clark PG3 acoustic pickup with a humbucker and two single-coil pickups, providing players with a wide range of tones and incredible flexibility.

Output 1 features the PG3 3-way pickup system, which combines an undersaddle piezo pickup, face sensor, and microphone that work together to give you an incredibly well-rounded, dynamic, and responsive representation of your guitar's natural tone. The undersaddle uses 6 individual piezo elements, for dynamic responsiveness and bottom-end response; the face sensor focuses on the mid-range, removing the signature 'quack' of piezo-only systems, as well as expertly translating the intricacies of any percussive playing; and the condenser mic is focused towards the top end, smoothing out the signature 'ping' of piezo-only systems. The preamp allows you to tweak various aspects of your tone, such as the frequency range picked up by the face sensor, overall volume, and relative volume of the mic.

Output 2 features Cole Clark's new patent pending HSS pickups. In developing these pickups, Cole Clark solved the inherent problem of using magnetic pickups with acoustic guitar strings (magnetic pickups only capture the nickel core of the strings, which traditionally makes an acoustic guitar sound flat and dull) - Cole Clark's resident tech wizard Paul Gale invented a machine that adjusts the strength of each pole piece in the magnetic pickup to achieve a perfectly balanced sound for phosphor bronze strings. The result is an instrument that is equally at home on stage or in the studio, capable of delivering the rich, full sound of an acoustic guitar or the searing lead tones of an electric guitar.
