The EVH 5150 Deluxe Poplar Burl, finished in Black Burst, is an 80s hot-rod inspired machine, built for speed, comfort, and full-throttle shredding. With vintage EVH aesthetics, and modern player-friendly features, the EVH 5150 Deluxe is the best of both worlds. A graphite-reinforced hand-rubbed satin urethane-finished modified C-profile quartersawn Maple neck with 12"-16" compound radius Ebony fretboard offers smooth, speedy and comfortable playability. A Poplar-capped Basswood modified Strat-style body features a deeper upper body curve for even greater comfortability. 

A pair of custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico II humbuckers are perfect for all kinds of hi-gain tone. In the bridge position, the 5150 Deluxe pumps out punchy and articulate tone, with plenty of sweet sustain, perfect for thick, chunky riffs. In the neck position, there's no end to articulate cleans, and when gained up, no-nonsense, full-tilt overdriven tone, with endless sustain. A custom designed low friction volume knob creates even-volume tapering for the smoothest volume swells, while the high friction tone knob will stay in place even if accidentally bumped. A lower bout kill switch, allows you to mute your guitar for those stutter, rhythmic effects — think “You Really Got Me.” Decked out with a dive-bomb certified EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose bridge, the locking tailpiece features fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna for switching back and forth from drop-D to standard tuning in an instant.
