The American Performer Jazz Bass commands the stage with that timeless Fender tone and playability. Expanding and improving upon the American Special Series, with a range of new models, materials, and enhancements, the American Performer Series will inspire you to Plug in and Play. Direct from California, the Fender American Performer Jazz Bass features two Yosemite single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, which combine to produce that rich and expressive classic Fender growl. Ideal for all genres and players, the dynamic tonal qualities of Yosemite pickups are produced by a combination of increased output, via flat-staggered pole pieces, and feedback control, via a shellac coating which lets the coil breathe. 

In order to preserve that iconic Fender tone, a Greasebucket tone circuit shapes the highs, without adding bass. A "Modern C"-shaped neck, 9.5" radius fingerboard, and 20 medium-jumbo frets are the perfect combination for comfort and effortless playability. Also available in the Fender American Performer Series of basses are the Fender American Performer Precision Bass and the Fender American Performer Mustang Bass RW.
