Crafted with a laminated maple body, vintage-inspired perimeters, and refined arches, this guitar delivers the essential Gretsch hollow-body sound and playability. The all-new trestle block bracing helps reduce unwanted feedback, while the FT-5E Filter’Tron pickups provide huge full-bodied punch, classic chime, and enhanced clarity.
The Classic “C”-shaped maple neck and 12”-radius laurel fingerboard offer comfortable playing feel, while the versatile upgraded control layout includes master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-position pickup toggle switch. The G5422TG also features oversized bound F holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller late-'50s G6120 bound headstock, vintage-style open-back standard tuning machines, Graph Tech NuBone nut, pearloid Hump Block inlays, secured Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece. The Orange Stain is a classic Gretsch finish, perfect for a model so reminiscent of the '50s and '60s.
