Gretsch G5422TG Electromatic Hollow Body Double-Cut Bigsby & Gold Hardware LRL Walnut Stain
Introducing the Gretsch G5422TG Electromatic Hollow Body Double-Cut Bigsby & Gold Hardware LRL, a guitar that embodies the classic sound and style of the 1950s and 1960s. This stunning instrument is the perfect combination of essential Gretsch hollow-body sound, style, and playability, making it a must-have for any musician who loves the classic sound of the past.
Crafted with a laminated maple body that features vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, the G5422TG Electromatic Classic Hollow Body guitar is a true work of art. The guitar also features all-new trestle block bracing that helps to reduce unwanted feedback, increase rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, and produce a sound that has a faster attack with more focus, snap, and increased sustain. The sound of the G5422TG Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut is powered by all-new FT-5E Filter’Tron pickups that offer a huge full-bodied punch, classic chime, and enhanced presence, clarity, and note definition. This guitar has a versatile upgraded control layout, including master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and three-position pickup toggle switch, giving you complete control over your sound. The all-new Classic “C”-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable playing feel for improved playability and performance, and it is topped with a 12”-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Hump Block inlays. This instrument is alive and resonant, featuring oversized bound F-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller late-'50s G6120 bound headstock, vintage-style open-back standard tuning machines, Graph Tech NuBone nut, secured Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece. The classic Walnut Stain finish gives this guitar a look as beautiful as its tone is powerful.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think that this guitar is a true work of art, offering players a classic sound that cannot be matched by any other instrument. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a beginner, this guitar is sure to become an instant favourite, delivering a sound that is both powerful and beautiful.

GRETSCH G5422TG Electromatic Double Cut HollowbodyBy: Gavin Turner on 22 July 2024This guitar looks amazing, and sounds wonderful, both unplugged and through an amp. The clean tones are beautiful and full, and even overdriven there's little feedback at relatively high volumes. I was surprised at how different it feels to my 5140T, and this is primarily due to the wider neck and the longer scale length. The body is much lighter, and there are a bunch more accessible frets here to play with. This guitar provides that aggressive gretsch tone in abundance and has immediately become my favourite guitar.
