Sharing many elements with its larger-bodied sibling, the Alvar is a formidable force despite its diminutive proportions. As Alvar was also known for having a calm and cool side to his personality, so too does this 6-stringed wonder have the ability to easily “dial down” for cool and calmer moments. Hagstrom's custom equipped RC-Circuit on each independent volume pot helps to keep the Alvar calm and subdued, while turning up the dials summon forth the elf-warlord. Hagstrom's H-Expander truss rod runs the full length of the neck, providing plenty of stability, and adding a round attack and even greater sustain.
