Hagstrom HJ800 Hollow Body
The Hagstrom HJ800 Hollow Body Guitar, finished in Vintage Sunburst, is a faithful recreation of the jazz boxes produced by Hagstrom in the '60s and '70s. A Canadian Maple body with solid Spruce top is matched with an American Hard Maple neck, which has been expertly hand carved and joined using Hagstrom's classic mortise-and-tenon set neck joint system, for maximum sustain. A Resinator Wood fingerboard provides comfortable playability for hours on end - Resinator Wood is a wood composite that has a stable, clear and articulate tone similar to Ebony. Hagstrom's H-Expander truss rod runs the full length of the neck, providing plenty of stability, and adding a round attack and even greater sustain.
A pair of Hagstrom Custom 58 humbucking pickups are perfect for clean and clear jazz tones, sounding comfortably at-home with single note patterns and walking-bass chordal comping. These modern pickups are perfectly capable of handling distortion as well, handling heavier styles, like rock, with ease.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Hagstrom HJ800 Hollow Body Guitar in Vintage Sunburst is a great option for anyone looking for a reliable jazz guitar that's versatile enough to handle some of the heavy stuff too.
