Since the 90's, the AEG has built a reputation as a highly playable guitar, thanks to its compact body and slim neck. The 2020 AEG series, including the AEG50 IBH, feature upgraded looks and electronics, with an emphasis on simplicity, and ease of control. The new Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp features a simple volume and shape control, as well as an easy-to-read LCD tuner. The shape allows you to jump from natural acoustic sounds, to fat and punchy, to crisp and bright. You can be sure that no matter what shape option you select, you will get a well-balanced, consistent signal, thanks to the Ibanez T-bar II Undersaddle pickup, which equalises the volume from each string. The spruce top, sapele back and sides, and walnut fretboard are matched perfectly with a simplified rosette, binding and headstock ornamentation, for visually pleasing, simplified aesthetics.
