The Ibanez AR520HFM VLS Electric Guitar, finished in Violin Sunburst, is the next step in the legacy of the AR, one of Ibanez' first, and most sought after, original designs. A Flame Maple top and Maple/Okoume hollow body construction gives the AR520HFM a naturally resonant tone, with a bright, crispy attack on the high end, and rich mids and low end. This tonewood combination makes the AR520HFM super responsive to your playing style, which helps a pair of legendary Super 58 pickups really shine. These moderate output humbuckers have a vintage tone that's extremely versatile and adaptable to almost any genre of music. Clean them up for classic jazz and blues riffs, or dial in some dirt and shred some rock licks. The AR520HFM also features tri-sound switching, with one switch for each Super 58. Tri-sound switching gives you three different tonal characteristics for each Super 58 pickup; with a flick of a switch, you can change from parallel, to split coil, to in series, for a truly versatile arsenal of tones.

The AR520HFM's 3-piece Maple neck, and Jatoba fretboard with 22 Medium frets, are extremely playable, increase resonance and sustain, and maintain an even weight distribution for comfortable playing. A Gibraltar performer bridge further enhances sustain, and when combined with a Quik Change tailpiece, give excellent tuning stability, and make string changing fast and easy.
