Ibanez AZES31 Electric Guitar
The philosophy behind the AZES (AZ Essentials) series is to bring the tone, versatility and playability of the celebrated AZ lineup to a wider array of beginner and intermediate players. However, AZ Essentials are also equipped with series-specific features such as a Mono-unit output jack, a 250mm fingerboard radius, and Comfort round bridge saddles, all designed to make the beginner’s learning process a streamlined, enjoyable and fun experience.
AZES guitars feature a slightly smaller 25” scale length, which makes for an easier playing instrument for younger or smaller players, without it being significantly shorter than Ibanez's standard 25.5" scale length that it would require re-learning; in fact, 25" is still considered full-scale. The 250mm fretboard radius is not too flat, not too round, and makes for an excellent choice for the first-time player. This radius is a great middle ground that allows for learning to play each note correctly, while still maintaining a high degree of comfort. The mono-unit output jack is solid and durable, and is constructed as one single piece to avoid unwanted movement and loosening of the jack, which leads to unwanted buzzing, or completely cuts out your sound. This innovation allows for long term playing enjoyment and minimal maintenance. An All Access Neck Joint offers superior playability all the way up to the highest frets.
The AZES31 features three Ibanez Essentials passive ceramic single-coil pickups, with Ibanez' dyna-MIX8 switching system. Essentials pickups provide well-balanced tone and as well as versatility, so that guitar players can enjoy various styles of music with just one instrument. The dyna-MIX 8 offers eight easy-to-access sound variations. It even simulates a humbucking sound from the combination of two single coil pickups. The AZES31's F106 bridge is equipped with comfort round Steel saddles. Its construction provides a wider range of height adjustment and ease of set-up. The screws are also less likely to stick out, leading to less stress on your strumming hand and better playing comfort. Another comfort-enhancing feature is the die-cast split-shaft machine heads. The die-cast housing offers protection from dust, as well as making tuning easy and smooth, while the split-shaft design makes it easy to change the strings.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Ibanez AZES31 IV Electric Guitar, finished in Ivory, is a great option for younger players, as well as beginners of all ages; these guitars are specially designed to provide you with all the comfort and features you need to make your guitar journey easy and enjoyable.
