The BTB805MS features a strong and stable 5pc Maple/Walnut neck with Graphite reinforcement rods; this superior design provides enhanced sustain and stability, as well as greater tonal clarity and attack. A Panga Panga fretboard produces tight lows and mid range, and strong bright attack in the high end, while stainless steel frets provide long-lasting performance and durability. The BTB805MS' MR5S bridge features adjustable saddles for variable string spacing (18mm +/- 1.5mm), allowing precise, fine-tuned spacing suitable for every bassist's needs.

A stunning neck-through body design, with Poplar Burl top and Okoume/Ash wings, provides bright and solid tones with rich sustain, and a solid tonal foundation for a pair of T1 pickups. Not only can the height of each coil be individually adjusted for highly nuanced tonal adjustments, but their ergonomic design allows them to comfortably be used as a thumb rest. An Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ gives you even greater control over your sound, via simple and straightforward EQ controls. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are each centred on slightly different frequencies, an innovation that delivers a preset range of the most favourable bass tones. An additional 3-way Mid frequency switch allow players to change the mid-tone between 250, 450, and 700 Hz. An EQ Bypass Switch allows you to switch from active to passive operation.
