The EHB’s headless construction, contoured body, ergonomic design, and chambered body make for a lightweight and comfortable instrument that’s excellent for long sets or practice sessions. The EHB1006MS features an American Basswood body for natural, well-balanced tone. The 5-piece Roasted Maple/Walnut neck with Graphite reinforcement rods, and Roasted Birdseye Maple fretboard provide superior note attack, incredible sustain and excellent stability, while highly durable stainless steel frets accentuate tonal brightness. Luminescent side dot inlays provide clear visibility in dark environments and the truss rod adjustment is located at the end of neck for easy access. 

The EHB1006MS'  tonewoods create a solid tonal foundation for a pair of T1 pickups. Each T1 pickup features two separate, individually mounted coils, for tight bass, punchy mids, and crystalline highs. Not only can the height of each coil be individually adjusted for highly nuanced tonal adjustments, but their ergonomic design allows them to comfortably be used as a thumb rest. An Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ gives you even greater control over your sound, via simple and straightforward EQ controls. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are each centred on slightly different frequencies, an innovation that delivers a preset range of the most favourable bass tones. An additional 3-way Mid frequency switch allow players to change the mid-tone between 250, 450, and 700 Hz. An EQ Bypass Switch allows you to switch from active to passive operation.

The MR5HS bridge is designed especially for the EHB basses and features wide intonation range. Each bridge piece is independently and securely attached to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and the saddles are adjustable for string spacing +/-1.5mm, answering every bassist’s individual string spacing demands, no matter what playing style. Teflon washers are used on each tuner for a smooth tuning action. Schaller S-Lock strap lock pins and a Neutrik locking jack hold the strap and cable securely, and a detachable finger ramp and a gig bag are included with each instrument.
