The NU-X Verdugo Series Amp Academy Amplifier Modeling Pedal is an amp-less approach to tone, for the modern guitarist. Perfect for home practice, studio recording, and live performance, is a tonal swiss army knife that delivers the tone and feel of world-renowned tube amps and effects in a super-portable stomp-box enclosure. The NU-X Amp Academy features premium quality components for reliable performance, like Neutrik jacks, Alpha pots, NXP RT super powerful DSP (1000MHz), 4 In TI PCM1840 ADC, and 4 Out AKM AK4454 DAC.
On-Stage, the Amp Academy can slot into any signal chain, and connect to a PA or mixer for incredible tone, control and flexibility. Connect a powered FRFR speaker for personal monitoring, or monitor through in-ears. Or simply disengage the IR signal on the Amp Academy, and use it as an extremely versatile multi-FX with your favourite amp. In the studio, the Amp Academy connects directly to your recording interface, for a huge range of professional tones, without the need to set up amps and mics. For silent practice at home, just connect headphones and shred away. Amp Academy even features USB audio streaming, which allows you to record tracks, run plug-ins and live stream via a USB connection.
Amp Academy features a huge range of legendary amp models, based on world-renowned tube amps, like the Fender Twin Reverb, Fender Vibro King, Mesa Boogie Mark I, Friedman HBE, Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, and the Bogner Uberschall. You can even import your own 3rd party IRs, or use Choptones to create custom IRs. AmpAcademy Editor Software features an IR loader with user friendly tweaking like Level / Low Cut / High Cut; it also converts to WAV format automatically. Stomp the A/B switch to change from your clean amp to crunch amp, while the Scene switch toggles between 3 saved 'scenes.' Save custom signal chains to each scene, and toggle through them with a single stomp.
Besides premium quality tube amp IRs, the Amp Academy also features backing drums & a looper (via Amp Academy editor), 6-Band EQ, reverbs (Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, and Damp), and other effects (Rose Comp, K Comp, Katana, RC Boost, AC Boost, T Scream, Morning Drive, Red Dirt, Crunch).
