Tama HP310LW Speed Cobra 300 Double Kick Pedal

The Tama HP310LW Speed Cobra 300 Double Kick Pedal was developed using the same design principles as the Speed Cobra 910 double kick, and offers remarkable performance at an affordable price. The extended footboards, which feature the same design as the Speed Cobra 910, offes rapid acceleration and power with less physical effort. The Recessed Setting provides the perfect balance between the natural characteristics and motion of a chain drive pedal, and the lighter overall action of the Speed Cobra 310 series.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Tama HP310LW Speed Cobra 300 Double Kick Pedal is a great quality, speedy and affordable double kick pedal.

All round quite a nice kick, however it has a blaringly cheap and crumby feature in the form of the main beater's holder. It is impossible to adjust the beater's distance from the kick drum without adjusting the pedal height. For example, I wanted to move the pedal higher to get more leverage without moving the beater back, but I cannot without meddling with the chain links. this is is made worse when the bottom of the pedal half touches the metal below it every stroke. For whatever reason, this aspect IS adjustable on left foot beater, which is confounding to me. This overall makes it quite a pain if you wanted a moderately adjustable kick.
