Tanglewood's Blackbird series of acoustic guitars are inspired by the cosmetic of 1940/50’s era US instruments, and built with the class leading constructional signature of Michael Sanden and the Tanglewood artisanal team. Every Blackbird model is carefully braced to provide a tight bottom end bass note and clear rich high spectrum resonance. Tanglewood has bound each model in vintage ivory ABS materials to provide the look of Bakelite from the 40’s, giving provenance to the historic look Tanglewood wanted to capture. 

The Tanglewood TWBBSFCE Blackbird Superfolk Acoustic w/ Pickup, finished in Smokestack Black, features a hand selected Mahogany top, Mahogany back and sides, a Techwood fingerboard and bridge, and the Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ system.
