Used Instrument
This is a used instrument. It is in good condition with original hard case. It has typical general wear and tear for a player guitar of its vintage. Please see photos for more details.
This is a 1973 Fender Telecaster Custom. Leo Fender sold the company to CBS in 1965. From 1965 to 1976, a 6-digit consecutive serialisation system was used, with the serial number located on the neck plate, with the Fender 'F' logo located underneath. This guitar's serial number is 382719; serials 370000-520000 were produced in 1973.
The finish is likely Mocha Brown (essentially a Walnut Stain), and has faded nicely with age. The grain profile of the body suggests it is Ash (which is consistent with the period) but may be Alder, with a Maple neck and fingerboard featuring the bullet style truss rod. To the best of our knowledge, everything on the guitar is original, except for the nut and the bridge pickup. The original bridge pickup is included with the guitar, but is faulty; it has been replaced with a ~2010 Fender American Standard/Professional pickup.
