A custom-treated solid Sitka Spruce top, combined with solid Mahogany back and sides, and a new scalloped bracing pattern give the FSX5 greater projection, more balance, and a tone that genuinely recreates the tone and sustain of aged tonewoods. This tone is translated expertly by Yamaha's flagship Atmosfeel three-way pickup system.
